You know there are times when we are alone, and you start dancing sexy.  Or maybe you have a chair and you start practicing a fictional lap dance.  You know we have all done it at one time in our life. Some maybe more then others.  Well why not put your Inner Sex Kitten to some use and pole dance.  There are several options. You can go take a class, go on line, or buy a pole for your home and use the video.  Not only can this be fun, it make teach you some moves your partner may like.

Track what you eat

OMG I found the coolest thing today while searching the web.  The site is called Nutrition Data. What this site does is allow you to input your favorite recipes and it will give you detailed nutrient information.  I am so excited.  I love to cook, and have been afraid to cook a lot of the dishes I used to make for fear that it would not be that great for me.  Now all I have to do is use this and I will be able to calculate it down to the T.

My New Boyfriend

So as you all know my boyfriend Bobby is fighting the war in Afghanistan for over a month now.  So for over a month I have been seeing a new man.   He works me out, he make all of my muscles sore, and even though I get so mad at him I continue to go back day after day for more.   I know some people have obsessions with drugs, alcohol, or maybe even an animal.  I have found my obsession with him.  No matter what city I am in he is always there.  He doesn’t talk back to me, and the best part is- I can take all of my aggression out on him and he just asks for more.  I mean who could ask for anything better?

Who is that man I am speaking of? Well I call him Mr. 24, however I think you know him as 24 Hour Fitness.  =)

On a more serious note, the gym has helped me with so much.  I think know without the gym I would have been at home this past month crying and upset with worry about Bobby, and although I do still worry a lot. The gym has allowed me to channel my fears and all the B.S life has to offer sometimes and put it to some good.

Bobby – If you are reading this.  Don’t worry, when you get home I will make time in my life for both of you.  I love you and can’t wait for you to get home safe to me.

Someone at work had given me Men’s Health to look at.  I was glancing through it and found a lot of interesting things.  One of the articles I found was THE BUFF BUFFET.  What it is is 8 Superfoods that will pack on Muscle before and after you hit the gym. Basically, what they are saying is that you should fit this into your diet.  Below are the following foods:

Skinny Girl Margarita

If any of you out there are fans of the Real Housewives of Ney York City, then you have all heard of Bethenny Frankel’s Skinny Girl Margarita.  I have heard her talk about it, and then even order it at a club/restaurant.   I know what I will be making this weekend.

Please see the recipe below:

What you’ll need:

  • 2 oz of clear Tequila (Sauza or clear premium tequila)
  • (count 1, 2 while you pour, no need for measuring)
  • A splash of fresh lime juice
  • A splash of Grand Marnier or BOLS Triple Sec

Combine all ingredients over a glass of ice

Garnish with a lime wedge and salt (or sugar) if you’d like.

The 5-Factor Diet

Unlike a lot of other celebrities, when Perez Hilton decided he wanted to loose weight he wanted to do it a healthy way and keep it off.  He decided to try Harley Pasternak’s 5-Factor Diet.  The diet seems pretty simple, eating 5 meals a day 6 days a week with one off day. Members get hundreds of recipes that use only five ingredients and take only five minutes to prepare.  He also believes in a lot of short 25 minute workouts, instead of one long one.

 

Has anyone tried this yet?

Plus Size Model

Are any of you fans of Americas Next Top Model?  Let me just tell you that I have been watching it and it makes me so mad that they want to call Kortnie Cole a plus size model.  Don’t get me wrong, Kortnie is a beautiful woman, however she is not a plus size person.  It makes me so mad to think that young girls are watching this and thinking that an average size women (who by the way looks great in a bikini) is plus size.  It just makes me so upset that we all watch this and think that we need to be smaller then her to be considered a “Normal Weight”. 

Just the other day I was in the car with my friends 14 year old daughter.  She was saying how her pants got wet and she had to borrow a friends pair of jeans.  She was complaining that her friend was overweight and the jeans were way to big on her.  She went on to say that her friends pair of jeans was a size 3 and she usually wears a 1 or a 0.  I couldn’t believe my ears.  When did a size 3 become overweight?

I seriously think we need to all re-evaluate ourselves and love ourselves for who we are.  What I am in the process of doing is eat  healthier,  loose weight, work out, have a long lasting life, and be able to shop anywhere I would like.

Top 5 Ways to Loose Weight

I was looking at Readers Digest  on line, and that had the top 50 ways to loose weight.  I decided to pick my top 5 in no particular order:

1) After breakfast, make water your primary drink. At breakfast, go ahead and drink orange juice. But throughout the rest of the day, focus on water instead of juice or soda. The average American consumes an extra 245 calories a day from soft drinks. That’s nearly 90,000 calories a year — or 25 pounds! And research shows that despite the calories, sugary drinks don’t trigger a sense of fullness the way that food does.

2) Eat five or six small meals or snacks a day instead of three large meals. A 1999 South African study found that when men ate parts of their morning meal at intervals over five hours, they consumed almost 30 percent fewer calories at lunch than when they ate a single breakfast. Other studies show that even if you eat the same number of calories distributed this way, your body releases less insulin, which keeps blood sugar steady and helps control hunger.

3) Downsize your dinner plates. Studies find that the less food put in front of you, the less food you’ll eat. Conversely, the more food in front of you, the more you’ll eat — regardless of how hungry you are. So instead of using regular dinner plates that range these days from 10-14 inches (making them look forlornly empty if they’re not heaped with food), serve your main course on salad plates (about 7-9 inches wide). The same goes for liquids. Instead of 16-ounce glasses and oversized coffee mugs, return to the old days of 8-ounce glasses and 6-ounce coffee cups.

4) Use vegetables to bulk up meals. You can eat twice as much pasta salad loaded with veggies like broccoli, carrots, and tomatoes for the same calories as a pasta salad sporting just mayonnaise. Same goes for stir-fries. And add vegetables to make a fluffier, more satisfying omelet without having to up the number of eggs.

5) Find ways other than eating to express love, tame stress, and relieve boredom. For instance, you might make your family a photo album of special events instead of a rich dessert, sign up for a stress-management course at the local hospital or take up an active hobby, like bowling.

Dear Diary

I know I am not suppose to loose every week, however I worked out so hard this week.  I was at the gym 6 days.  I ate right. Well with the exception of Saturday. 

It can just get so frustrating working toward something and not seeing instant results.  I know what you are thinking…. “It has taken her all these years to put on the weight and now that she is finally trying to loose it, she want it gone all at once.  ” Yes,  I know it can’t be that easy, but is asking for 3 lbs a week to much to ask for? 

On the flip side, when I first started I was a size 20.  About a week ago I needed to get some pants that actually fit me.  Well to my surprise I went to the regular section (not the plus size) and I was able to fit into a size 14.  I was so excited, I even did a dance in the dressing room. 

I am hoping by the end of this week I will be down to 209 lbs.  I am going to up my cardio to an hour every day and continue my weights and ball exercises.  I will let you know how it goes.
